Iasa's Spain Chapter
¡Bienvenidos a Iasa España!
|The AEATI (Asociacion Espanola de Arquitectos de TI) is a voluntary membership association in charge of Iasa representation in Spain. The association is open to any individual with a desire to learn about IT Architecture or be connected with other IT Architecture practitioners.|
Our chapter have the following membership levels:
- Full Membership (socios de número o de pleno derecho) which provides the most benefits and value to our individual members. Iasa has and will continue increasing benefits to full membership.
- Corporate Membership (socios empresa), allowing organizations to take the best of Iasa Global and Iasa Communities of Practice into their companies and to interact with the top organizations in the world to develop the standard of practice for enterprise and technology architecture.
- Basic Free Membership (socios de derecho restringido) allowing people new to the organization to explore a limited selection of benefits and learn more about Iasa, the largest global professional non-profit association for Enterprise and Technology architects. Our chapter consider any member of our Linkedin group as a Basic Membership.

We are please to announce that in September we will have the first CITA-P Board in Spain and in Spanish. Don't miss this great opportunity to get this important worldwide recognition. This vendor-neutral Certification assess individuals who are qualified to lead large projects and initiatives within their specialization on a global level. CITA-P candidates generally have over seven years of experience as an architect in one of the four architect specializations: Business, Infrastructure, Information or Software Architecture. Francisco PABLO Junco (President of Iasa's Spain Chapter)
Pablo is an Enterprise Architecture advocate and practitioner working in Spain with over 15 years of professional experience in the IT industry and an IASA's Certified Information Technology Architect Professional (CITA-P). Since 2005, he works for Microsoft Spain as Enterprise Architect and as Enterprise Strategy Community Lead for Western Europe. Prior to Microsoft, during 7 years he used to work at EDS as Senior Consultant and Team Leader.
Gabriel Martin (Vice-President of Iasa's Spain Chapter)
Gabriel is an C-level executive with more than twenty years of experience in the IT business. Currently, he is the CIO Spain Centers Lead at Accenture. Prior to his current role, Gabriel was a senior managing director responsible for Accenture’s business local applications and applications lifecycle management at worldwide level. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in the Universidad de Valladolid and his MBA degree from the IEDE Business School.
Jorge Villarino (Secretary & Treasurer of Iasa's Spain Chapter)
Jorge is the International Relations Director of the Spanish Congress of Representatives, Legal Advisor of the Committee on Justice and Legal Advisor at Spanish Parliament. He received his Law Degree from the University of Saragossa (Spain). Author of more than twenty articles in specialized reviews on constitutional, parliamentary, administrative and information society law. He has taught in several courses and seminars about Internet law (e-commerce, data protection, cloud computing, intellectual and industrial property), in public and private institutions such BBVA Innovation Center, Microsoft and Iasa.
Pietro N. Romano (Spain Chapter Board Member and Certifications Lead)
Pietro has some twenty years’ experience in the IT industry, working successfully at international level across the full lifecycle of IT Solutions, from initial value proposition, through delivery and operation. Pietro also has great commercial acumen, with extensive experience and great results in sales pipeline planning and opportunity management. In his current role as Cloud Delivery Executive at Microsoft, he works with customers across EMEA to help them realize their full potential, through accelerated adoption and productive use of Microsoft cloud technologies. Pietro was the first architect in Spain to be CITA-P board certified by IASA.
Santos Pardos Gotor (Spain Chapter Board Member and Education Lead)
Santos is an Enterprise Architect working in the Spanish Public Sector. He had worked for many important companies like Prisa, El Corte Ingles, Telefonica and Dell (in Dublin). Santos is a well-known IT architecture expert matter and collaborator of organizations such as itSMF, The Open Group and IIR.
Edurne Gavela (Iasa Global, Event Manager for Iasa's Spain Chapter)
Telecommunications Engineer with over fourteen years’ experience in Telecom industry. Edurne has strong solid understanding of the interconnection and roaming business. She help key positions in Spanish companies such as Telefonica, Orange and Lleida.net.
Cesar de la Torre (Spain Chapter Honour Founder Member)
Cesar was the founder of the Iasa's Spain Chapter and our first president. He has been working in the Software industry since 1994, for consultancy and IT companies like AT&T, Renacimiento (Co-Founder and Principal Architect) and Microsoft, delivering projects, designing and implementing enterprise applications for many customers (Industry, Public Sector, etc.). Cesar currently works for Microsoft as Visual Studio Product Manager. He has written technical articles in magazines like The Architecture Journal and DotNetMania and is also the main author of the DDD .NET Architecture Guide & Sample Application.
Pablo Garcia Mexia (Spain Chapter Honour Founder Member)
Pablo Garcia Mexia, J.D., Ph.D. (Complutense University, Madrid-Spain) was the first Vice-President of the Iasa's Spain Chapter (role he hold until March 2014). Pablo is a Visiting Professor of Law at The College of William and Mary, where he regularly teaches European Internet Law. He also teaches the subject at Madrid's Carlos III University and a number on public and private institutions all over the country. Dr. Garcia Mexia has been a Visiting Researcher at Harvard University. He serves as Legal Adviser to the Spanish Parliament (Letrado de las Cortes Generales) and practices law at the Madrid Bar and as an Arbitrator for the World Bank. He is co-Founder of Syntagma, Center of Strategic Studies (a think-tank on legal and governance issues, www.syntagma.org). Author of Historias de Internet, Valencia: Tirant (2012), European Internet Law, Netbiblo: Coruña-Spain (2009) and of an extensive record of books, review, newspaper and blog articles on Internet legal and political topics. A regular speaker on the subject at government, corporate, educational and professional institutions both in Europe and in the U.S..
