Architecting an Enterprise Class Desktop Virtualization Solution

Today, individual desktops are hard-coded combinations of OS, applications, and user settings, and managed one-by-one on an ongoing basis. Many IT organizations are looking at desktop virtualization to upgrade their entire approach to desktop management. IT executives are looking for a better way to address the varying needs of enterprise users since different types of workers across the enterprise need different types of desktops - some require simplicity and standardization, while others require high performance and personalization. IT needs to understand that a Desktop Virtualization solution should include different types of virtual desktop - each specifically tailored to meet the performance, security and flexibility requirements of each individual user; while at the same time offer the right costing structure to their business.

Elton Chew is responsible the professional services and consulting organization in ASEAN. One of his primary charter is for ensuring the success of customer’s Citrix strategy and implementation of projects. Elton has extensive experience working with customers of all sizes – from large enterprises to small-and-medium businesses (SMBs) across the Asia Pacific region.  He has 12+ years experience in the IT industry and now based out of Singapore.


Wong Onn Chee- Chapter President

 Onn Chee is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer in Resolvo Systems, a leading information leakage expert in Asia. His areas of expertise include information leakage protection, web security and security strategy. Onn Chee is also one of the co-inventors for at least six international PCT patent applications ( Onn Chee was a founding member and the first Vice-President of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), Singapore Chapter ( He had also published in ISSA Journal articles on information leakage protection and application of evidence laws when designing IT systems.
