Welcome to Iasa Ireland
Iasa Ireland is the professional association of and for IT architects. Iasa Ireland functions as the authoritative voice for IT architecture in Ireland providing it's members with a voice and identity. Iasa Ireland will support professionalization efforts by facilitating certification at all levels: Foundation, Associate, Professional, Master. Iasa Ireland will also provide education opportunities in the form of public conferences, member-only conferences and through the provision of Iasa education programs such as Architect Core and Associate.
Our chapter is open to any individual with a desire to learn about IT Architecture and connect with individuals in the profession. Membership in your local community entitles you to:

Gar Mac Criosta - Chapter President Brendan Healy - Chapter Vice-President Mark Greville - Chapter Secretary Joao Reginatto - Chapter Board Member David Jones - Chapter Board Member Gerry Hanifin - Chapter Board Member Michael Callan - Chapter Board Member Alistair Herriott - Chapter Board Member Alistair is Head of Bearing Point Consulting UK and Ireland Architecture practice. He is responsible for, and involved in, a wide range of consulting assignments covering business and IS/IT/ICT strategies and architectures, technology audits, development methods and service management.
Gar is current president and founder of Iasa Ireland. Gar is also on the Iasa Board of Education Certification Committee which is currently working to deliver Iasa Certification programs. In addition Gar has been works with An Garda Síochána as an IT architect on a wide range of projects and programs across software development life-cycle, integration, enterprise architecture, mobile and others. Over the past 12 years Gar has worked in Ireland, UK and Australia for financial services & insurance institutions, public sector bodies and systems integrators including Anglo Irish Bank, An Post, Cap Gemini, Compaq, GE and others. Gar is actively involved in the technology community in Ireland through user groups, speaking at events and most recently with launching Iasa Ireland. Gar has a real ‘grá’ for technology and is currently pondering how touch based applications can change the world.
Brendan is an architect working for Triangle Computer Services specialising in VMware, Storage, AIX and retail solutions. Brendan specialises in storage, data protection and infrastrucutre analysis for multiple enterprises. Brendan formerly worked for Glanbia Plc and IBM as an infrastructure architect specialising in AIX, Microsoft, Virtualisation and SAN technologies.
Joao Reginatto works as an IT Architect for the Services & Consumer group at Dell. Joao specifically works with systems integration, being responsible for minimizing systems incompatibility and reducing implementation costs. Joao also works in defining integration best practices and coordinating middleware development teams. Joao has over 10 years experience in the IT industry as a Developer, Business Analyst and Project Leader. Before joining Dell in 2004, Joao has worked in the insurance and banking sectors. Joao has a Bsc. in Computer Science from UFRGS, in Brazil. He has written one of the articles that form Iasa’s Aspiring Architect Skills Library
David is also part of the Iasa Ireland Leadership team with responsibility for the Ambassador programme to promote the development, professionalism and certification of architects in the IT industry within Ireland.
In his current role he provides architecture consulting services to divisions across the financial group of companies, promoting best practice and owning some of the group wide shared infrastructures e.g. Service Bus.
With 17 years in the IT industry David has held various senior technical/leadership positions in both system/software houses and end user companies spanning a range of sectors.
He has presented at a number of local and international conferences on customer adoption of CBD, SOA and BPM related architectures and technologies.
In 2009, David and his team were awarded Oracle Magazine's Fusion Middleware Architects Of The Year.
