Which Certification is Right for You?
Regardless of where you are in your career Iasa Global has a certification for you. The Iasa Certification Program delineates a four-tier career path designed to level-set architects based on a combination of criteria including education, experience and test-based examination of professional knowledge of architectural skills and management.
- First Level: CITA-F (Certified Information Technology Architect Foundation Certification)
- Second Level: CITA-A (Certified Information Technology Architect Associate Certification)
- Fourth Level: CITA-S (Certified Information Technology Architect Specialist Certification)
- Final Level: CITA-P (Certified Information Technology Architect Professional Certification)
CITA-F
The CITA-F (previously named IFC) is supported by Iasa Architect Core Training. CITA-F testing focuses on an architect's knowledge of the five foundation supporting skills in architecture, the "Five Pillars of Architecture":
• Business Technology Strategy
• Human Dynamics
• Design
• Quality Attribues
• IT Environment
CITA-F is an industry standard and the only certification that leads to a structured process for gaining the skills you need as a practicing architect. The CITA-F was introduced by the Iasa Board of Education, an international board of independent architect practitioners. It consists of a multiple-choice examination designed to ensure architects' knowledge and understanding of the IT Architect Body of Knowledge (ITABoK).

CITA-A
The CITA-A (previously named IAC) is supported by the Iasa Associate Training Program. The CITA-A credential is based on both an exam and a detailed architecture review process. Candidates are awarded CITA-A after demonstrating in-depth knowledge in one of four associate specializations:
• Business Architecture
• Infrastructure Architecture
• Information Architecture
• Software Architecture
The IAC exam will include multiple choice questions based on Iasa's Business Technology Strategy associate course curriculum and curriculum found in the Iasa associate specialization courses (Business, Infrastructure, Information or Software). Although the questions are multiple choice they will require utilizing the skills acquired in the associate course material to find solutions to posed scenarios, so it is advisable to bring a paper and pen to work out answers. Students will be given five hours to complete the exam. The review portion of the exam may only be scheduled once the student has completed the exam portion successfully.

CITA-S candidates generally have over 6 years of experience as an architect in one of the four architect specializations: Business, Infrastructure, Information or Software Architecture.
Certification consists of both a written and oral exam and is awarded to candidates who pass a 2 person board certification process in which they defend their professional success and accomplishments as an architect.
