Thursday, July 25th 2013 Iasa hosted a networking Happy Hour at the Roaring Fork Restaurant.  All of the attendees had a good time and were able to come away energized and with new ideas to pass on to their organizations.  Armand Daniels of Peak Recruit says: "I enjoyed the conversation and company.  I believe we have some good synergies between us and look forward to supporting and working with your group in the future."   


Leadership

 

   Tom Philbin - Chapter President

Tom Philbin has over 17 years experience as an IT developer, strategist and Architecture leader.  Tom has transformed businesses using Information Technology to significantly reduce costs and improve business capability, primarily at Honeywell International and Dell Inc.  He has history of success leading people, generating value, establishing strategic goals and executing multiple complex programs.

Most recently, Tom has played key roles in IT, developing Dell’s Enterprise Architecture Framework, and installing strategic plans for IT to enable Dell to transform from a hardware vendor to an end-to-end IT solutions provider.

Tom’s solutions have received industry awards (including the RealWare Award from InformationWeek’s Intelligent Enterprise organization).  Tom has been a featured speaker at industry conferences for his novel use of technology to solve business problems (including conferences sponsored by Dell, Honeywell, IASA, IBM and the National Security Administration).

Tom graduated with honors from both the University of Illinois and the University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Masters degree in Business administration, respectively.

   Mark Viloria - Chapter Vice President

Mark Viloria is the Iasa Austin Chapter Vice President and Global Enterprise Architect at Mercer. Mark has over 15 years of experience in IT, and with over 10 years of experience in architecture.  Before joining Mercer, Mark worked in the "Big 4" in various technology leadership positions at Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Mark holds a BS degree from DePaul University Chicago.

   Joel R. Hayes - Chapter Secretary / Treasurer

Joel is a Business System Analyst at Dell, supporting applications in the Sales and Operational Planning Domain. Before joining Dell, Joel worked for Wes-Tex Printing where he served as both the Production Manager and Supply Chain Manager, leading product and process development programs and launching the company’s online specialty retail site. Joel started his career at 3M where he worked for 11 years holding a variety of roles including manufacturing process engineer, senior project engineer, and supply chain specialist. Joel holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and is LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
