Saturday March 12th Iasa hosted a Java workshop in conjunction with the Iasa Austin chapter and the Austin Java user group. The workshop was conducted by Srini Penchikala who is also an active Austin chapter board member. The almost immediately sold out workshop attracted Java practitioners from the entire Austin area. (Registrants showed up 30 min early with folding chairs to secure their spot in the class room).

Srini after the class "It was a great turnout and excellent discussion during the class. It was very gratifying to see the full class and all the seats occupied. I am looking forward to hosting more of these training sessions."

This tutorial focused on enterprise service abstraction that helps the Java developers to integrate their applications with many widely used technologies.
In this workshop, web application based on the widely used application architecture layers were built, persistence in the DA layer and transaction management added in the Service layer. Application security was added to the application using Spring Security.
