THE BENEFITS OF MIGRATING TO OPEN SOURCE

Amazon, Netflix, Google, Facebook and Twitter are proof open source software (OSS) is powering today's most rapidly growing, innovative companies, continuing to strengthening their competitive advantage. Like many enterprises that have long understood the benefits of developing software with open source, these organizations use OSS to reduce cost, increase speed of development and allow for greater freedom to innovate and customize, while also maintaining control over their own resources. As IDC observes, “Companies strategically using outside code sources can lower their fixed costs and respond more quickly to marketplace dynamics while core competencies stay in-house.” So the question isn’t whether to use OSS, but where to use it, and when and how to migrate.

Attend this Webinar, hosted by the IASA and Black Duck, to learn:

  •  Benefits of migrating from legacy software to open source
  •  How to get started developing a migration plan
  • What factors and dependencies need to be considered
